(For those of you who are familiar with the Little Tait Preemie Fund, this is a separate organization; the funds only go to help other Christian families who find themselves in similar situations.)

Approximately 13%* of U.S. babies are born prematurely. Many of these babies require extensive hospital stays, around the clock care, and life-saving medical procedures. Hospital bills often end up in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, clearly a huge, if not impossible, hurdle for most families to handle on their own.

The Little Tait Foundation for Preemie Aid is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Christian couples with the overwhelming medical bills arising from the early arrival of their baby. The body of Christ is commanded, “Bear ye one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2).” The goal of this preemie fund is to enable Christians to do just that.

Our mission is to raise enough funds to cover at least one large preemie bill in the first 12 months.

The Little Tait Foundation for Preemies is a non-profit organization founded to help those who believe it is the responsibility of private communities and the body of Christ to meet these needs, not the responsibility of the State through tax-funded welfare programs. Your donations will be applied to the intended needs with minimum overhead, rather than trickling through multiple layers of bureaucracy. Funds go directly to the specific doctor, hospital, or other medical care provider, after standard negotiations and reductions have been made.
About Little Tait: On November 6, 2008, Little Tait arrived 3 months early, at 27 weeks, weighing just 2 pounds, 9 ounces. He spent the first 13 weeks of his life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit under the around the clock supervision of doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, and countless other caring professionals. By the grace of God, through the expert medical care he received, Little Tait is a happy, thriving 2-year-old today. The total bill amounted to over $326,000 after standard negotiations and discounts.

After going through this difficult experience ourselves, with the love and support of the body of Christ both financially and spiritually, our desire is to help others who find themselves in the same situation.
